Chocolate Frosting

3 C powdered sugar 
¼ C cocoa powder 
¼ tsp salt
8 oz cream cheese, softened 
¾ C butter
9 oz bittersweet chocolate 
¾ C sour cream 

Melt chocolate; set aside to cool slightly. Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Combine sugar, cocoa and salt in a separate bowl, then slowly add to cream cheese mixture with mixer on medium-low speed. Slowly pour in chocolate until fully incorporated. Add sour cream and beat until smooth and creamy.

This makes a fairly thick frosting...not really ideal for piping onto cupcakes, but that's what I had today. It would probably be better slathered onto a layer cake!
