Poppy Seed Vinaigrette

1/2 C white wine vinegar
1/2 C sugar
1/2 C vegetable oil
1/2 tsp ground mustard
1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbls poppy seeds
2 Tbls finely chopped onion

You don't have too, but I usually mix everything but the poppy seeds in a small sauce pan and heat it just until the sugar is completely dissolved; remove from heat and add poppy seeds. Chill; serve.
